The October 2026 CASp Exam Project Type has been Announced

The Division of the State Architect (DSA) is pleased to announce that the project type for the open book part of the October 2026 Certified Access Specialist (CASp) exam is a newly constructed Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Field Office.

CASp Resources Now Available in Multiple Languages

The Division of the State Architect and the California Commission on Disability Access announced translated CASp resource documents to better support California's diverse communities. The materials include Dispelling the Myths of Compliance, Benefits of Hiring a CASp, and How to Hire a CASp.
Code Updates

15-Day Public Comment Period on Access Code Changes

The Division of the State Architect submitted proposed accessibility-related code actions for inclusion in the 2025 California Building Standards Code, Part 2, Title 24. Additional written comments were accepted during the 15-day period ending June 27, 2026.
